By Brandon Soliz Verified| KLTV-TV (Tyler, TX) Verified LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit says 22-year-old Victor Yanez turned himself in at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Yanez was wanted for murder in connection with the shooting death of 38-year-old Joshua Rios. Officers responded to a report of shots fired just after 2:00 a.m. in the 1800 block of Clovis Road on Monday. When they arrived, officers found Rios with serious injuries. Rios was taken to UMC, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Texas Department of State Health Services reports 56 of those patients have been hospitalized since the start. According to the DSHS, fewer than 30 of the confirmed cases are “estimated to be actively infectious.”DSHS says the following counties have ongoing measles cases: Cochran, Dallam, Dawson, Gaines, Garza, Lynn, Lamar, Lubbock, Terry and Yoakum.
