Today was Joe’s last day at Ohio County Magistrate Court and his fellow workers celebrated him with a surprise party. Joe was a Magistrate for 16 years, and before that, spent 25 years serving as a Wheeling Police officer.

Members of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were on scene to provide much-needed comfort and support to 7-year-old Oaklynn Alexander. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department received a call about 3 p.m. alleging Charles Alexander had abducted his 7-year-old child in Empire, Jefferson County, Ohio. Sheriff Fred Abdalla says Alexander fled the scene after grabbing the girl.
