Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) wants to remind customers to be cautious of any downed power lines they see, especially following severe storms. Strong straight-line winds and tornadoes can cause power lines and poles to break or can cause other objects such as tree branches to blow into power lines, knocking them down.

Molsen announced that Roberto Ceja, Jr., 33, of Lexington, Nebraska, was sentenced on April 16, 2025, in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska, for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine. United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher sentenced Ceja to 66 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system.
