By Brielle Meyer| WZZM-TV (Grand Rapids, MI) Verified GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Kent County Sheriff's Office's (KCSO) Kent Area Narcotics Enforcement Team (KANET) worked with officers from Wyoming, Grandville and Walker police departments to recover five kilograms, or 11 pounds, of cocaine. The drugs were recovered during a recent search on the southwest side of Grand Rapids. Police also recovered 760 grams, or 1.7 pounds, of fentanyl and a loaded handgun in the search. The seized drugs carry an estimated street value of more than $1 million.

Almost 10 years after being charged with assault, kidnapping, a man has been extradited back to MI to stand trial
By Brielle Meyer| WZZM-TV (Grand Rapids, MI) Verified LANSING, Mich. — Almost ten years after being charged, Aaron Jarrett, 36, will stand trial in Chippewa County on four counts of First-Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and one count of Kidnapping for allegedly assaulting a woman in 2016, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Tuesday. The U.S. Marshals Service extradited Jarrett to Michigan from Clark County, Washington, in February of this year as part of Operation Survivor Justice.
