  • What I’ve been reading from in March (2025)

By Bryan Harvey| Medium@ Bryan Harvey·Follow3 min read·--Middle of the top row is highly recommendedKyle Seibel’s Hey You Assholes (2025)Placing this one front and center and out of alphabetical order. First book I’ve read from Clash Books. Makes me want to read more from Clash Books. I say that also because Clash Books kind of rescued an earlier version of this book from maybe not being a book. By Bryan Harvey| major7mag.com@ One light is on in the house as the coffee pot gargles and spits. A car door slams shut from inside the garage. I am awake. Everyone else is asleep. The night before I laid everything out. Near the foot of the bed, I placed my race gear, minus the pink shoes my kids picked out. I placed those in a child’s car seat. I filled a green duffel bag with clothes for after the race, but after-race clothes look a lot like during-race clothes, just no bib number pinned to the shirt.

  • What I’ve been reading in February (2025)

I think between the rapid, chaotic churn of the current news cycle and the already heavy subject matter of Arendt’s project I just get to feeling like a swimmer who hasn’t trained enough for serious open water competitions. We really are in the middle of it, aren’t we? Todd Davis’ Ditch Memory (2024)Look at that raccoon.
