We are pushed to our limits every day, forced to go back to the drawing board after a race that doesn’t go our way and push on, patiently, until it does again. Ali Truwit, a 2023 graduate of Yale, is the embodiment of this strength, which carried her through some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable.

I had two grand-mal seizures and was diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy. They said that the risk of drowning was too high, and the stress that swimming and waking up early every day put on my body would be too much.
