(13 News) - Pima County officials are asking Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes to get involved in a years-long, ongoing dispute over water rates. In 2021, Tucson Water imposed differential water rates on tens of thousands of county water users. Those rates were 15% higher than the rates paid by city customers. County water users paid the premium for 1 1/2 years before the courts shut it down.

(13 News) - After months of work, Pima County has finally passed the first-ever county extreme heat plan. “I am very proud that Pima County is the first county in Arizona to adopt a heat safety ordinance,” said Pima County Board of Supervisors Chair Adelita Grijalva. As the summer months wind down, the county put the final touches Monday on the ordinance that began its journey last May. But the county said the wait was worth it.
