The senior forward amassed 30 points and 14 rebounds as Gladstone downed Kingsford 73-53 in a Class B district semifinal. The Braves (16-5) will host Boyne City (16-6) for the the district championship Friday. The Flivvers finished their season at 9-11, with three of the losses coming at the hands of the Braves. “Spindler, Spindler and a little bit more than Spindler,” said Kingsford Coach Dan Olkkonen.

Gladstone improved to 3-3 overall and 2-2 MPC while IM dropped to 0-5 and 0-2. “We got off to a little slow start and I think we had some bus legs,” said Coach Andy Cretens, his Braves trailing 10-8 early in the second quarter.
