This second protest started in President’s Circle when protesters began to occupy the stairs and lawn in front of the Park Building. Earlier today, President Taylor Randall released a statement regarding the protesting. At approximately 6 p.m. at President’s Circle, a Mecha member was arrested. This sparked the start of chants and speeches from Mecha organizers.

    By Caelan Roberts| The Daily Utah Chronicle@ On Monday, a familiar scene of protesters rallying against a conservative commentator hosted by Young America for Freedom at Utah unfolded at the College of Social Work building at the University of Utah. “Hey hey, ho ho, transphobia has got to go!” Protesters chanted outside the event, while hundreds of people waited for a chance to be seated in the auditorium.
