The new judge, H. Thomas Padrick Jr., is retired from the Second Judicial Circuit Court in Virginia Beach, according to an Alexandria Circuit Court deputy clerk. Padrick takes over for David S. Schell, also a retired judge, who worked in Fairfax County.
