Biography

Spending hours in front of my mom's Corona-Smith typewriter in elementary school, I dreamed of being a writer some day. After graduating from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Journalism and English, I took a slight fork in the road, working in the restaurant industry and office management for a bit. In 2001, I launched a career in early childhood education, taking on a dual role of teacher and administrator. In 2006, I started dabbling in freelance writing part-time, finally realizing my dream of becoming a full-time writer in 2013. My content experience is varied but profile pieces, lifestyle features, business blogs, and food writing are definitely my bread and butter.
