In February, 17-year-old Jocey Tackett had been admitted to the hospital with the flu and suffered complications from the flu and strep that turned septic and caused too much damage for her body to recover, according to her family. She passed away on Sunday at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, just a few days before she would have turned 18.
