Amazon is opening a warehouse fulfillment center and Frito-Lay is opening a warehouse distribution center. The Amazon facility is already under construction and will be located near the corner of North Dirksen and Bissell. The Frito-Lay building will be off of the Chatham exit on I-55. Combined, the two projects will bring in 400 local jobs.

(WAND) - The Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) consists of more than 50 organizations across the state working to support domestic violence survivors. Since COVID-19, the organization has seen an increased need for domestic violence support. In 2024, the organization had to turn away over 4,900 adults and 3,800 children seeking emergency shelter. This is a 22% increase from 2023.

Also known as chargeback fraud, this happens when customers order something, receive it, and then tell their credit card company that the charge was fraudulent. When this occurs, the restaurant is responsible for the original charge, and a chargeback fee. Additionally, if there are enough chargebacks, businesses' credit card processing fees increase for every order.
