Biography

Caroline holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree where she graduated from Macleay College in 2018. She writes casually as a freelance journalist to supplement her work as a carer for family. She also also holds Certificate IV in Fitness and Diploma of Community Welfare Studies and used to work in both fields. Caroline is a sportswoman who has represented her state of NSW in Rugby League 2007/08, as well as winning four ARU national titles in women's rugby union as a member of Sydney Province. She also was a team member of the Australian team who set the inaugural Australian open age record 4x200 metres relay World Masters Indoors, Clermont-Ferrand, France, 2008. She has also won 2 x silver and 1 x bronze medals at World Masters Indoor Athletics Championships and World Masters Games. Caroline briefly played first grade rugby union for Eastern Suburbs after graduating from First Grade Colts before she transitioned. She now has an interest in sport, news and current affairs and as a Trans Sports Woman she has been in the news advocating for Transitioned Women rights of playing women’s sports against cisgender women, as she knows through lived experience there is no advantage after a transition period of hormones and surgery. In fact she says the transitioned woman’s body goes into a post-menopausal state without proper HRT support and management from an endocrinologist. She has written opinion pieces for MamaMia and Sydney Morning Herald on this subject matter.
