Caroline Carrasco Silva was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and moved to the United States in 2007. She is a current senior at Emory University studying English and philosophy. She began writing for Emory's independent, student newspaper The Emory Wheel in her freshmen year. After serving as Emory Life editor for almost one year, she was promoted to managing editor of the Opinion and Emory Life sections. Caroline now serves as a Copy Editor at the Wheel. She also works social media for Emory College of Arts and Science. She was previously an editorial intern at the Orlando Weekly and is a current Breaking News and Crime and Public Safety intern at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
