Smith told the Marshall Board of Governors this week that student enrollment is up. “Our fall 2024 enrollment is once again on pace to outperform our internal projections and what we understand to be occurring around us, building on a strong fall 2023 that reversed a 13-year enrollment decline,” Smith said.

About 155 high school seniors applied for the program this year. The scholarship provides up to $10,000 per year — or $40,000 total — for about 25 new scholars each year from a national applicant pool.
