At about 6:19 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to the report of a man down near State Route 111 just south of Jasper Road. Officers found an unresponsive man dead near the east shoulder of the road. Preliminary investigation indicates that the man was struck by a vehicle while standing near his parked vehicle. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.
