The son of an avid Michigan State fan and alum, going to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign was a shock to my father. However, it was the best decision I've made. Majoring in journalism, I've been able to develop skills in radio, print and television, and it cemented my desire to pursue reporting for my career. Whether it was broadcasting Kofi Cockburn's first game on BTN Plus or performing a pre-game radio show at State Farm Center, reporting has made work feel like a hobby.
