Freelance Editor, Writer and Reporter, Freelance

Massachusetts

Biography

I always had a passion for writing while growing up in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. That passion drove me to pursue a degree in Journalism at Fairfield University, where I graduated in 2010. Shortly after, I became a reporter for the Daily Voice network of local news websites in Connecticut and New York. I began by covering the small town of Darien, CT, where I wrote about local politics, new businesses, crime, school news, sports, people making a difference in the community and other topics. I worked for more Daily Voice for more than seven years, covering numerous communities in Fairfield County, CT and Westchester County, NY. I was promoted to Assistant Managing Editor of the Fairfield County sites in 2015, a position that I held until 2018. Following my time as at Daily Voice I worked as a freelance writer and editor. During this period I wrote local news stories, feature profiles, press releases, marketing material and social media posts. In 2021 I began working as a Comics Feature Editor at Screen Rant. My responsibilities included editing articles, monitoring news, scheduling posts, fielding pitches from writers, posting to social media and writing feature stories. This position enabled me to combine a number of my interests, including writing, editing, news, critical analysis and mentoring other writers, in a creative setting. Beyond writing and journalism, my other interests include film, creative writing, mixology, hiking, drawing, travel and spending time with my fiancé and our dog.

  • 10 Best Calvin and Hobbes Science Fiction Storylines, Ranked

By Casey Donahue Verified| Screen Rant Verified Calvin and Hobbes Sign in to your ScreenRant account At its core, Calvin and Hobbes tends to stay grounded in some semblance of reality. Sure, there’s the pervading question of whether Hobbes is real or make-believe (a question that creator Bill Watterson refuses to answer). But most stories take place in the real world as Calvin experiences it. While Calvin has his solo adventures as Spaceman Spiff, those fantasies don't usually involve Hobbes. Sometimes, however, the titular pair of best...
