LMU’s Women of Service organization raises money and creates scholarships for students. They also organize food pantries on and off campus. They’ve provided women with more than a dozen scholarships to continue their education.

(WVLT) - Monday, almost six months into American Medical Response’s latest contract with Knox County, we heard how changes to the ambulance provider are helping response times. Reports from the county show that the situation has improved from where it was several months ago, but there’s still work to be done. AMR’s June data showed, for the first time since the new contract was implemented, on-time response rates of more than 90% in two of the three districts it covers.

The latest numbers come as American Medical Response (AMR) is about to enter its seventh month under a new contract. Leading up to that contract renewal, a WVLT News investigation uncovered hundreds of documents, emails and complaints from inside the county showing how dangerous the situation had become.
