Cyra Misty Lee, 24, of Shepparton was shot by police on a street in July, while holding a knife. The Shepparton Magistrates' Court heard Lee had a tough childhood and wanted police to shoot her. Magistrate Terry Wilson summarised victim impact statements and sympathised with the police officers who attended the incident, including a pregnant female officer. He said police did not want to shoot Lee, but had no choice.
