Biography

Hello! I'm Chad Birt, a detail-oriented copywriter, content writer, creative strategist, and journalist who works with health and wellness brands, home healthcare companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and medical providers. After graduating from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism & Mass Communication, I spent the first decade of my career in newsrooms, serving as a production assistant, director, and technical director. In 2017, I decided to pursue solopreneurship and began honing my skills as a freelance journalist and copywriter. Since then, I've collaborated with dozens of companies in the healthcare, caregiving, and wellness sectors. My portfolio is diverse and includes blogs, long-form articles, white papers, case studies, and buying guides. I’ve also crafted press releases, email campaigns, product descriptions, and website copy for various businesses and healthcare professionals. My ability to merge narrative storytelling with technical concepts sets me apart. Nothing is more rewarding than creating content that supports my clients while educating the communities they serve. As a former broadcast and print journalist, I know how to approach projects using a multimedia lens. This is best illustrated in my ability to edit videos in Final Cut and Adobe Premiere; create visual content with Canva and Photoshop; and follow client-specific briefs and style guides. Outside of work, I enjoy creative pursuits as well as hiking and camping. I co-produced, co-edited, and co-directed the documentary "Autism: Suffering and Silence," and my EDM blog, The Get Downnn (now retired), was awarded "Best Music Blog" by The Phoenix New Times. I’m always excited to connect with like-minded professionals and explore new opportunities to tell stories. Please reach out if you’re interested in collaborating. Shoot me a LinkedIn message or email me directly at chad.birt@gmail.com.
