The GiftAlfredo Granados Olivas has a farm in Chihuahua, Mexico, about a 30-minute drive south of the border with New Mexico. When we visited, he was sitting at the head of a kitchen table on that farm. He’d gathered about 20 people–researchers, students and family members–to share pork, rice and beans that his wife made.
