Biography

Thanks for checking out my work! I'm a rising senior journalism major at UNC-Chapel Hill, and I've won state and national awards for my sportswriting over the last three years. This summer, I'm interning at The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press, two recently merged companies in Hampton Roads that make up the largest daily newspaper in Virginia. I spent the summer of 2018 at The Charlotte Observer, North Carolina's largest daily paper. I'm also entering my fourth year at the Daily Tar Heel, UNC's independent student newspaper. At the DTH, I've worked a staff writer, sports editor and senior writer. This fall, in my second year as a senior writer, I'll focus primarily on men's basketball, football and features. I'll also venture outside of the sports beat for feature stories in my coursework. I'm a 2018 Jim Murray Scholar, and my work has also been recognized by the North Carolina College Media Association and the Hearst Journalism Awards Program.
