I always find it difficult to write about myself, because I tend to let my writing speak for me. That said, I'm a freelance writer with a number of credits with outlets such as Roger Ebert, The Quietus, and Film School Rejects, as well as a fair few soundtrack liner notes and Blu-ray booklet essays to my name. I also recorded an audio commentary for the UK Blu-ray release of HOWARD THE DUCK. Of course, I don't limit myself, but I do enjoy writing about genre cinema, particularly horror, and my chosen focus is film music. I've been into film scores since I was a child, and they've always spoken to me in a way that most other music hasn't (Iron Maiden excluded). My strengths are a clear and engaging writing style along with meticulous research. I like to provide as much context as I can with my work, and that kind of thing is second nature, especially in my liner notes. I'm British and I live on the outskirts of South Wales.
