Taken aback by the tone and tenor of the discussions regarding Title IX, Foster called the nearby district and then clicked through the website, eventually finding an MP3 file of the meeting. She listened to the “fuzzy recording” for two hours to get her answer. Foster thought there had to be a simpler way to find out what was going on in local school districts.
Volunteers building their future tiny homes as two villages prepare to relocate | Cascadia Daily News
By Charlotte Alden| Cascadia Daily News Verified Volunteers and residents of two Bellingham tiny home villages are building new homes this week, as the communities prepare to combine and relocate to city property on Northwest Avenue. The new village will be called North Haven — a combination of two existing HomesNOW! tiny home villages. Swift Haven in the Puget neighborhood and Unity Village in Fairhaven provide emergency shelter to about 50 residents who would otherwise be homeless. The relocation is expected to happen in May.
