Charlotte Laws has authored over a hundred articles in various publications, including the Washington Post, Salon, the Los Angeles Daily News, the LA Times, Huffington Post, Gawker, the Daily Caller, The New York Daily News, and Newsweek. She authored the following books: Undercover Debutante (2019), Devil in the Basement (2018), Rebel in High Heels (2015), and Meet the Stars (1988). She has also contributed to several anthologies. Laws was a weekly commentator on the NBC show, "The Filter," for four years. One of her episodes was nominated for an Emmy. Laws then became a political pundit on BBC television. Laws has made appearances on numerous television shows, including CNN, Nightline, Fox News, MSNBC, Oprah Winfrey, The Late Show, Dr. Drew, and Larry King Live, to name a few. She has been the subject of articles in the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the New York Post, the Guardian, the Associated Press, and the New Yorker. She was a Los Angles politician for eight years and has worked with the FBI. She became universally known as the "Erin Brockovich of revenge porn" in 2013, after she took down the most notorious revenge porn website operator and helped victims of sexual assault. She was voted one of the “thirty fiercest women in the world” by Buzzfeed. Laws has a doctorate in Social Ethics from USC, as well as two master’s degrees and two bachelor’s degrees. She completed post-doctoral work at Oxford University, England. In addition to fighting for women's rights, she is a well-known animal activist and gay rights activist. (She penned the pro-tolerance bill - The Intolerant Jackass Act). Laws lives in Los Angeles with her husband, her three rescue dogs, and yard full of rescue chickens.
