Biography

A young award-winning communications professional driven to learn, unlearn, and relearn every day. Currently working as the National Media and Communication Specialist for FAO Bhutan 🇧🇹 Working in the National Newspaper of Bhutan for a little over four years, first as an environment and agriculture reporter, and a feature writer, and later as a Sub-Editor has helped sharpen my skills to be a better storyteller. My dedication to this craft has been rewarded in many ways: Winner of Balipara Foundation’s Green Journalist Award in the Eastern Himalayan Region, 2023, National winner of the Best Climate Change story, 2022, and three-time winner of Bhutan Media Foundation’s Climate Change Reporting grant, and the Journalists Association of Bhutan’s Rural Reporting grant. I am still learning to be a photojournalist and it has been inspired by the National Geographic’s photocamp, where I got an opportunity to attend the alumni masterclass at the National Geographic head office in 2023. I am seeking to keep writing professionally in platforms such as the The Druk Journal and other outlets. My leisure time is spent on reading, walking, and scribbling random thoughts here and there.
