One cost-cutting measure they are building on is trying to host Ontario Police College (OPC) courses in North Bay. "We have found some efficiencies in running training in-house as opposed to sending people on courses, where we only send one or two people on a course in the south," he said about local training compared to sending officers to Alymer, home of the OPC in southwestern Ontario.
