Godfrey Brokenrope, 19, was in a car Billings Police attempted to pull over near Midland and South Billings Boulevard. The car took off and police followed. In the area of King Avenue East and Hallowell, a police car was able to bump the suspect’s car causing it to lose control, police said in a statement early Sunday afternoon.

On Thursday, the Department of the Interior announced that the mine near Decker in Eastern Montana’s Big Horn County can expand into an area holding nearly 40 million tons of coal. The expansion extends the life of the mine, which employs as many as 280 full-time workers, by up to 16 years, the Interior department said in a statement.
