Biography
I started shooting and writing small stories back in 2015, mostly about my travels around Europe and the Middle East. The same year, I also created Trip & Trail, an active travel blog that has been growing ever since and I've been growing alongside it. Even though I was born and raised in the buzz of Athens, I have a great affinity for mountains and their people. Like most photographers, I'm curious at heart and can spend hours observing people and listening to their stories. Lastly, I'm a methodical researcher and speak Greek and English fluently.

By Chris Kamberis Verified| Backpacker Magazine Verified I felt incredibly grateful—and lucky—to have shelter when Cyclone Ianos arrived unexpectedly with the dawn on my third day in the mountains of Greece, effectively pinning down everyone in the hut until it blew itself out twenty hours later. Outside the water-stained windows of Giosos Apostolidis, the highest mountain shelter in Greece, a thick gray haze obscured the cliff-hung views of Stefani, Mt. Olympus’s third-highest peak.
By Chris Kamberis Verified| goatsontheroad.com@ Nature is like an artist working on landscapes; using small brush strokes on a canvas, taking millions of years to paint, and yet the masterpiece is never completed. In the case of the Meteora monasteries, it seems that the painter went a bit more abstract than usual by abandoning the typically mild, harmonious lines and replacing them with powerful vertical strokes. Breaking the usual form and creating something that looks more alien than earthly.
