The company’s CEO, Cooper Abbott, left the firm on April 7. He has been replaced by Mark Headley, Matthews’ co-founder and ex-CEO. Headley assumed all CEO responsibilities on April 8 and will serve as interim CEO. He has also been named executive chairman of the company. Abbott became CEO in 2022, joining from Carillon Tower Advisors, where he worked as president and chairman.
