Biography
I'm a senior editor covering economics and politics for YES! Magazine. I have two decades of experience in journalism, covering everything from general assignment and local news to business, technology, science and tribal affairs. I've also spent time as a content curator for a local high-tech company and as a high school English teacher in rural Hungary through the Peace Corps. I grew up in the Washington, D.C., area but now consider Seattle my home. I also write fiction, play guitar, and sing (I do a mean David Bowie).
Economics , Democracy , Politics , Civil Liberties , Arts & Culture , Appalachian Issues
Generally I don't cover the environment or climate change right now, although there is plenty of intersectionalism between the environment and areas I do cover.

But older folks also want to change the world for the better, and many have more time in which to do it. They bring decades of knowledge and lived experience—a boon to many causes. These three activists came to organizing work later in life and are putting their experience to good use in the name of social change.

McCarthy was clearly trying to appease the extreme right-wingers in his party, who are upset that the speaker hasn’t been sufficiently radical over budget negotiations. And of course, McCarthy presented absolutely zero evidence Biden has done anything warranting impeachment.
