The Quietus
The Quietus is the biggest and most respected independent online music & culture magazine in Europe, covering music, literature, film, art, TV and popular/unpopular culture. A fully-independent online music and culture magazine, The Quietus was founded in 2008 by award winning journalists John Doran and Luke Turner to counteract a lack of provocative, intelligent, funny and attention-grabbing criticism on the internet. It grew rapidly from a tiny blog into a globally-respected brand which now pulls in three quarters of a million readers a month who click on two million pages. The core audience is the kind of sought-after web users who value quality writing, original thinking and in-depth coverage which they fail to find elsewhere. In an age where churnalism, listicles and celebrity tittle-tattle are the order of the day online, The Quietus maintains its reputation for integrity and innovation as it fast approaches its tenth anniversary.
