Forest Supervisor Mel Bolling will be passing the decision to his successor, Kim Pierson, who has more than three decades of experience in the U.S. Forest Service. “I was eligible to retire and decided that this was a good time to do it, primarily for family and personal reasons,” Bolling said.

The meeting was set up so that attendees could ask questions of Caribou-Targhee employees and staff from SE Group, the consulting firm that prepared the draft environmental impact statement reviewing Targhee’s expansion plans. The whole affair was light on spectacle and heavy on mingling.
