I am a thirty-something mom of two and wife, mental health advocate, manatee lover, dreamer, seeker, and doer. I love art, culture, travel, psychology, mental health, food, animals, nature, and more! Mostly, I am a storyteller, a raconteur, a word maven. Every experience, scenario, and conversation in my life results in an insatiable urge to write. The same is true of the experiences of others. After all, everyone has a story to tell, sometimes without realizing it. Writing about and photographing the world around me, even that which is unseen to others and possibly nonexistent in the first place is intrinsic to my life. True to a promise I made to my younger self, I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. But not before completing three Associate degrees in Business Management, Administration, and Marketing. In a professional capacity, I cut my teeth in journalism at a local weekly newspaper that my gr-gr-gr grandparents founded in 1881. I relish that the newspaper came full circle, bearing my byline where my ancestors' was once stamped. Since then, I've evolved to freelancing, contributing to several magazine publications and web-only content. Although I am open-minded and eager to try new things. I enjoy challenges, learning new things, receiving constructive criticism, a great photo feature, or just a great story. In short, I love putting words together in any capacity.
