Township Manager Mike Laffey said pickleball continues to grow in popularity, and the township recently completed a pickleball court project in Diamond Beach. The township plans to spend about $456,000 for the new courts.
By Christopher South Verified| Cape May County Herald Verified DENNIS TOWNSHIP – The Township Committee passed the 2025 municipal budget of nearly $5.9 million on Tuesday, April 8, after a public hearing. The $5,887,141 budget shows an increase in spending of $311,737 over 2024. It will be funded in part with a tax rate increase of about 1.7 cents per $100 of assessed value. The 2024 tax rate was 0.242, and it will be increased to 0.259, an increase of less than 2 cents. The average home in the township, according to the tax assessor’s office, is $189,317.
