She is currently a second grade teacher at Dennis Elementary School in Lee County. “I taught in Charleston for like, 21 years, and then my other 20 years, I taught right here in Lee County. I went to elementary school here, high school here, and went to college in Columbia. And so, this is home for me,” says Mrs. Davis.

Mrs. Wells was born and raised in Summerton and a graduate of Clarendon Hall, where she now teaches. It's also her alma mater. “I tell them all the time.
