Community leaders turned into celebrity bartenders Wednesday night, raising funds to support young people on their journey to adulthood. One hundred percent of tips made will benefit the Scouting America, Western Massachusetts Council. A portion of food sales benefited this cause as well.

The Springfield School Committee unanimously voted last week to rename the court after Travis Best, who was a point guard graduated from Central back in 1991. He went on to play for Georgia Tech and was a first-round pick in the 1995 NBA draft, playing 10 seasons in the league.
