By Cindy Larson Verified| Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly Verified Health care on the under-served southeast side of Fort Wayne got a boost at City County’s Nov. 28 meeting. Members voted unanimously in favor of a resolution that would provide Neighborhood Health Clinic with $2 million in Fort Wayne Legacy funds for the new Neighborhood Health Clinic – Oxford Street Project. The clinic will be located at 3501 Warsaw St. in the former L.C. Ward School building, which closed in 2017.

The issue: Urban chickens. Council voted 4-3 to introduce a resolution that will allow people to raise chickens within city limits. Jason Arp, R-4th; Paul Ensley, R-1st; Sharon Tucker, D- 6th; and Tom Freistroffer, R-at large, voted in favor of introduction. Michelle Chambers, D-at large; Geoff Paddock, D-5th; and Glynn Hines, D-at large, voted against introduction.
