The Connecticut Mirror is a nonprofit, nonpartisan digital news organization established in 2010 to enhance coverage of state policy and government in Connecticut. It was founded by the Connecticut News Project, Inc. in response to the decline in watchdog journalism due to newsroom layoffs. The organization employs award-winning journalists to deliver in-depth reporting on various topics, including state budget analysis, economic development, education, healthcare, justice, housing, environmental policy, and legislative activity. Operating as a digital-only platform, the Connecticut Mirror distributes its articles through partnerships with five of Connecticut’s six largest daily newspapers and other local news sites.
