By Cody Manning| Sporting News Verified The NFL draft is just over a week away. The Indianapolis Colts made a couple of roster moves this past week in order to prepare for the biggest weekend of the offseason. The biggest surprise was releasing their kicker Matt Gay despite the contract they gave him in 2023. Indianapolis does have Spencer Shrader on the roster but moving on from Gay does create the possibility of them selecting a kicker on Day 3. The Colts also re-signed tight end Mo Alie-Cox to a one-year deal worth $2.2 million.
By Cody Manning| Sporting News Verified We are inching closer to the NFL draft, and outside of the No. 1 overall pick, nobody has a solidifed feeling about how the first round's top half will unfold. For the Indianapolis Colts, who have missed the playoffs in each of the last four seasons, the popular choice for their first-round selection has been at tight end — whether it is Tyler Warren or Colston Loveland. However, they still have two other starting roles to figure out before the upcoming season.
