(WOOD) — Utility crews have restored natural gas service to more than 80% of the over 5,200 homes and businesses in Allegan County following a gas leak earlier this week, Michigan Gas Utilities said. MGU said in a release that information was left for the remaining customers who were not home. Crews are continuing to go door-to-door to reach the remaining customers on Monday.

  • Convicted sex offender faces child porn charges

(WOOD) — A Cutlerville man is facing child porn charges for allegedly sharing child sexually abusive material online, state police say. The Michigan State Police said that 35-year-old Zechariah Noah Hoogerhyde was charged on Friday with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, three counts of using a computer to commit a crime, and one count of sex offender — failure to register address. The most serious charge holds a 10-year prison sentence.
