According to WH Press Secretary Jen Psaki, the boycott was in response to the, “ongoing genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang and other human rights abuses.”

And just like last year, I bent the rules on when it is socially acceptable to begin listening to Christmas music. This year I hit play somewhere around the first week of November. I have no regrets! If I have learned anything from this past year and a half, it’s that you have to take every opportunity you can for self-care. For me, that means starting the Christmas season a few weeks early.
