Wade and ending the legal right to abortion, a group gathered in Friendship Square at 6 p.m. on June 24. The demonstration was formed by Bans Off Our Bodies Moscow, a group affiliated with Women’s March. “It was a great, incredible turnout,” organizer Sara Zaske said.

It returned to East City Park after being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and after being held on Main Street in 2021. The fair celebrated with live music, a craft show, food, a parade, a costume contest and maypole dancing. Renaissance fairs in the United States date back to the 1950s with a resurgence of interest in the Medieval and Renaissance periods.
