Tommy Bilbo received 41% of the vote, while Priscilla Sam finished with 27%, sending the two into a May 3 runoff. Democrats Charles Gallien and Amanda Fontenot Johnson trailed in the final tally. The District C seat is currently held by Rodney Geyen, who did not seek reelection.
