By Cray Allred| Daily Thunder@ It's been a slow week of on-court action for the Thunder, with just one game that counted (against the Jazz) and another couple that very much did not (the All-Star...games?) since Valentine's Day. Off the court, Shai parted ways with his agent. He called it a simple career move. Presumably, he considers it good for his career to save commission on a supermax extension in Oklahoma City this summer, which will require no negotiations. Is this all too good to be true?
By Cray Allred| Daily Thunder@ Game Info: OKC (44-10) @ UTA (13-41)Tip-off: 8:30 PM | Broadcast: Local/League PassThe Thunder emerge from the All-Star break head and shoulders above most of the league's other teams by the metrics, and nearly locked in as the Western #1 seed (Oklahoma City is up 8 games on #2 seed Denver, with just 28 to go). Overall home court advantage is still a live contest, though, with OKC getting the chance to edge ahead of Cleveland by a half-game by beating Utah tonight.
By Cray Allred| Daily Thunder@ OKC 137 NOP 101Like an empty Dr. Pepper to the can crusher, so were the New Orleans Pelicans (12-41) forced into the Oklahoma City Thunder's (43-9) defensive grip. I've written that recap before for a helpless team against the all-time OKC defense. But as of late, the offense has been overwhelming, too.
