By Curtis Carden Verified| WBIR-TV (Knoxville, TN) Verified LENOIR CITY, Tenn. — One person is dead following a house fire Wednesday night in Lenoir City, according to the Loudon County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said the fire happened in the 2300 block of Martel Road near Avery Street. According to deputies, the only person inside the house was found dead. Crews are still working to determine the cause of the fire. LCSO said crews were expected to be on scene for several hours and people would expect delays.

UT Medical Center announced its first baby girl of the new year was born Sunday. Hannah and Taylor Fatheree welcomed their daughter, Whitley Rae, just before 3 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces. UT Medical Center shared photos of the family along with nurses Kathleen Thompson and Meghan Binns. Dr. Welch-Charles delivered the child.
By Curtis Carden Verified| WBIR-TV (Knoxville, TN) Verified MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — A Morristown fisherman is dead and his son is being treated in the hospital after an incident Saturday morning on Cherokee Lake, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. Wildlife officers said Jeremy Gene Keen, 47, of Morristown, and his 14-year-old son were trolling in an aluminum jon boat around 7:54 a.m. when Keen fell into the water. Officers said the son entered the water and was able to hang on to his father as the boat made circles.
