Biography

Originally from the 'burbs of Baltimore, I attended Northwestern University and got a BSJ from Medill in 1993. From there, I fact-checked, reported, wrote and edited for People in a rewarding 18-year run, which included going to six Survivor locations, covering 5 Olympics, and doing People's first interviews with Jay-Z, Jimmy Kimmel and Jennifer Garner. I moved with my husband to Sydney in 2011 and freelanced for Who, People, Empire Australia, AdNews and other publications, and worked full-time at Who and TV WEEK. I am freelancing once more while also teaching at the Medill-Northwestern Journalism Institute.
