Police said the victim, a 47-year-old man sustained serious injuries before he was rushed to hospital, where he sadly later died.

At around 10.30pm on Tuesday (April 15), Merseyside Police received a report that a woman, now known to be Rebekah Campbell, 32, had been stabbed inside a flat at Knowsley Heights, Huyton. Officers attended and gave first aid to Rebekah until paramedics arrived. She was taken to hospital but died from her injuries.
